On behalf of Sherry and myself we would like to welcome you to our web site!
Finally! I have pics up on the "Rochesters" page! Please check out our work and let me know what you think through the "contact us" page.
It's been just under 2 years since we started our web page. We want to thank everyone for giving us over 8000 hits so far!!
Sherry and I are enjoying our new home. I am especially enjoying our new 1000sq./ft. 3 bay all brick climate controled shop. It's been a pleasure to work in but as always I've oputgrown it already!! If anyone gets to south Georgia please look us up !
The '73 Formula has moved on quite a bit and is nearing completion. The engine is in and runs good. All we are lacking at this point is interior and A/C. With any luck it will be finished by spring. Come see us at the Ban One show in Atlanya in May! If you are interested in buying into this project please contact me.
Also please take note of the new "Parts For Sale" page I've added.
Within these pages you will find the story of the "Yanque Tanque" (pronounced Yank Tank), our 1970 Titus, Trans Am series replica. The Tanque has been chronicled in High Performance Pontiac,Pontiac Enthusiast,Smoke Signals and Grassroots Motorsports magazines. We have also appeared in the video magazine "American Muscle Car" and with Dennis Gage in "My Classic car".
You will also find our infamous blue car "Beauty", a 1970 Ram Air III Lucerne blue four speed Trans Am Concours restoration; our 1999 30th Anniversary Trans Am and the 1973 455 four speed Ram Air Formula currently under restoration at our shop.
Please make note of our "Rochesters" page which outlines our carburetor rebuild services. Carb Pics are up!!! We still offer all services as before. Please check the carb page for pricing etc.
Our heartfelt thanks to our occasional "crew" Steve Simmonaitis, Earl Halford & Dan Williams. We could never repay you guys for your unselfish work and all the time you've spent. And thanks to Charles Cardin for his excellent welding skills (I'm glad I haven't had to test your welds!!)
I would be terribly remiss if I didn't thank Bruce Fulper, Pete McCarthy and Herb Adams.
When we started, Pete took the time to answer all this neophytes engine builders questions which I'm sure seemed rudimentary to him. Without his invaluable insight I may never have discovered you can road race a traditional Pontiac engine.
I met Bruce at the '99 T/A Nat's and followed him around pestering him with engine questions. He answered each and every one, never showing his frustration for this guy who wouldn't go away. I use his pistons in my motors exclusively. Thanks for all the advice Bruce and thanks for the cam installation tool!!!!
Thanks also to Herb Adams for his chassis recommendations. They were spot on in every case. I've not met Herb in person but any time I called, he stopped what he was doing and spoke with me. I've always admired that!
It has been pointed out to me I left out Year One. Thanks so much for sponsoring us during the 2005 thru 2007 seasons. We had our best years running the Year One banner! Special thanks to Pat Staton for all his help.
My heartfelt thanks goes to Jeff Henninge our crew chief, for all your unselfish help over the years and for designing the Yanque Tanque logo. (You never knew how many questions that would generate did you)? You've always been there for us and we appreciate that beyond words.
Sherry and I would also like to thank the many photographers who have contributed to recording the history of the Yanque Tanque, especially Bob Harrington and Gordon Jolley. We also need to give credit to Ned Gwinner, Dallas Gregory, Dee Bowers and the many others whose names are anonymous to us.
Lastly we would like to thank all our fans worldwide who have shown support for our madness. Thank you all!
